Purposeful Living

The next time you cook breakfast, be thankful for the accidental discovery that keeps eggs from sticking to the pan. A DuPont scientist discovered Teflon accidentally while he was searching for something else. But while experimenting can be a good approach in science, it’s usually not very fulfilling in life.

Are you living an experimental life or a purposeful life? Many people today believe they are accidents of evolution and spend their whole lives experimenting to try to figure out the best way to live. But the Bible says you are purposeful and unique, created by a loving God for great and noble reasons. God wants you to live your life on purpose, not accidentally.

Serving your God-given purpose is fulfilling. It is true success. I challenge you to pursue that fulfillment today.

I believe that it is possible to achieve wealth, fame, and “earthly success” and still be a failure because you are not fulfilling your God-ordained purpose.

The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; your love, o Lord, endures forever – do not abandon the works of your hands. – Psalm 138:8 NIV
